so much is sitting right before our eyes, just waiting for us to revisit, reclaim and rejuvenate it.

try half.com if you haven't already. that's where i got my copy. it can be slow, but they're used books, so they come cheap. some are even brand new!

shipping's the catch, but i've gotten lots of good stuff for less than $10 there before.

I think it was you who once recommended "Jambalaya" by Luisah Teish...and I just got that one today...looks wonderful so far so I will definitely trust you on this one as well...

yeah jambalaya is a good one, too...

i'm towards the end of dark mother and it takes a *bit* of a left turn into some psych theory that i wasn't expecting, but overall it's a great analysis of the tradition/roots of the black madonnas of europe and their relation to the african origins of humanity.

apparently birnbaum also has a book entitled black madonnas i need to look up...
