i've decided that once i get my house, i'm going to build an outdoor goddess garden. i'll need statues, incense holders, places for candles, baubles, pretty stones and shells, etc.
pantheon to include:
quan yin
kali ma
oshun
yemonja
maybe aida wedo
definitely some kind of replica of the venus of willendorf
something for saartjie
what i can't decide is if i want to just scatter them throughout the garden or just set aside a particular corner as sacred ground. i'm sure it'll depend on how much space i have...
if i can get something fenced in i'll even go out and dance in the moonlight! if not, i'll be content to quietly meditate in front of it--for the neighbors' sake, of course.

it sounds beautiful... why not start it now & just move it when u have the house... that way u get the energy ALL manifestin'!
i bought a pretty little copper offering bowl just the other day. i havent yet used it, but i think today might b PERFECT.
i'll offer up some goodies 4 u, sistren.
AXE!
well...i have quite a bit of the
"official" stuff coming into the house now, and i'm in an apartment so there's no outside space. i've got a bit of oshun and yemonja/olokun going already, though.
at one of the lil offbeat shops in my neighborhood they sell a kali figurine & i think it comes w/ a lil incense holder. 8 bucks. i have to remember to get one for BOTH of us. lol.
kali is great.
i don't want one of the nice ones, either. i want the skulls, swords, her steppin on dude's neck...ALL that. lol.
kali as in sara la kali? the gypsy saint? oh yeah... u HAVE 2 have one of those!
i've never heard of sara la kali...but i just did a google search and she seems interesting...it's amazing how many saints there are.
i was thinking of kali the hindu goddess...she's a "dark" goddess who deals with the destruction of negativity/stagnation, renewal, etc. similar to oya/yansa/iansa in the yoruba traditions.
saarje bartman..wow wow wow.. i like you.. blessings sis

to add to the list:
a virgen de guadalupe candle
plenty of rose quartz and moonstone
vessels to hold the elements:
pretty vases and dishes for water--and something special for river and rainwater
potted plants for earth
incense holders for air
a rainbow of candles for fire: green for earth/wealth/generosity, red for passion/love/courage/life, blue for water/peace, white for clarity, yellow for joy, orange for warmth, indigo/violet for reflection...
some kind of green, creeping plant
whatever flowers will blossom
spirals
triangles/yonis
various pebbles
maybe a small drum
definitely a shekere and a tambourine
tinkling bells and a wind chime or two...
