one day i'm going to get one of those gadgets so my fingers don't smell like garlic for days after i've been cooking.
what had happened was, i fell in love with fresh garlic a few years ago and never looked back. no garlic powder in my cupboard. nope.
then again...i kinda like the stickiness of the oil and the crunch of the paper. so maybe i won't.
me and this tactile thing, i swear...

I keep telling myself I need to get fresh garlic and more olive oil & guess what? I keep forgetting. My thing is getting the smell of onions off of my fingers, but I've found that lemon juice helps a lot with that... Maybe it'll help w/ the smell of fresh garlic as well.
i think i heard that somewhere re: the lemon juice...need to try it sometime...
but speaking of lemon juice, i've learned that can be a great ingredient, too. i try it in lots of stuff now.
I cook w/ lemon juice all of the time. I purchase it from the international supermarket. a 16 oz bottle is $1.29, I find this simply unbeatable :)
i saw on a cooking show that if you wet your hands and rub them on something stainless steel, the garlic smell will go away. i haven't tried it yet, though. i love cooking with garlic, too.
@ohbaltimore - i think i've seen that, too...forgot about it. thanks. :-)
